Description

For those who have seen the Earth from space, and for the hundreds and perhaps thousands
more who will, the experience most certainly changes your perspective. The things that we
share in our world are far more valuable than those which divide us.

- Donald Williams, USA

On the 29th July in 1958, NASA was founded and one of the greatest journeys man has ever made began in earnest. The space race; perhaps born of fear, gave birth to one of the most peaceful and majestic human pursuit - the exploration of space...and in turn, the discovery of our own home.

Through success and tragedy, NASA has continued to propel mankind forward and inspire us all. From landing a man on the moon to exploring the surface of Mars; from the shuttle programme to contribution to the International Space Station - NASA has taught us more about ourselves and our delicate home planet than we could ever have hoped. Without a doubt, as long as we never lose that fascination for space and thirst for knowledge, NASA will continue to do so for years to come.

This is my little way of marking 53 years of awesome. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, NASA!

Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.
– Ralph Waldo Emerson

Apologies for the very small image size! The drawing is A4 size, but my scanner (as much as I hate to whine about technology) made it look incredibly fuzzy. It's probably my fault as I dont know exactly how to use it, but if I can sort it, I'll re-upload!
